Kokkos Tutorial at SCA/HPCAsia – Osaka, Japan

It was a pleasure to return to Japan and lead a well-attended, full-day Kokkos tutorial at SCA/HPCAsia in Osaka. Joined by Luc Berger-Vergiat from Sandia and team members from CEA France, Paul Zehner, Yuuichi Asahi, and Julien Bigot, we provided a deep dive into data parallelism, memory spaces, and the Kokkos::View abstractions essential for exascale performance. This engagement was particularly timely as the Japanese HPC community prepares for the transition to Fugaku-NEXT; we are eager to support researchers navigating the shift toward GPU-heavy architectures by ensuring their code remains performance-portable and future-proof.
